HELPFUL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

IF I AM GETTING COLOR SHOULD YOU HAVE CLEAN HAIR?

YES. Hair should be clean and dry for your color service. The old myth that dirty hair is best for coloring hair couldn’t be more false. Having a build up on hair makes penetrating the hair strand with color difficult. Causing different shades and tones throughout hair. Also! The root touch up color spray, or sticks- Let’s make sure they are washed out prior to service. Using in between is great, but day of service please make sure there are no residuals. Again, this prevents absorption of hair color applied.

IF I’M GETTING HIGHTLIGHTS/ BLEACH SERVICE, HOW SHOULD MY HAIR BE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT?

Your hair should be dry and clean for your service. This allows for color lifting to be even. If you are using a blue or purple shampoo or conditioner, we recommend not using 5 days prior to service. Using color toning shampoos and conditioners cause buildup and color deposit. The color potentially can interfere with the lifting and lightening process.

SHOULD I ALWAYS LET MY STYLIST KNOW I’VE USED BOX COLOR?

ABSOLUTELY! Listen, we’re human! and we get it! Please please be honest. For the sake of the outcome you want, we have to know in order to balance, lift, and process properly. Its okay!

IF I WANT A BIG CHANGE, SHOULD I SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION?

If you are not 100% sure what you want, please book a consultation. All services have a rough estimate of 5-10 minute consultation prior to starting your service. If you think you may need more time, booking a consultation gives you time to answer, ask any questions, find the perfect look. You will also have a price quote and timing for service given to you.
